MARCH HOUSE
2D ARCHITECT'S PLAN

The primary goal of this design was to add privacy back to the client's garden and find use for an old trampoline pit. Due to a house being built next door the hedge enclosing the left side of their garden was removed, and they wanted to create a more enclosed space to relax in on summer nights, and also form a barrier where the dogs wouldn't bark every time the new neighbours were in their garden.
For this garden, I utilised the old trampoline pit area which was next to a pre-existing summerhouse, and created an outdoor kitchen and seating area. To ensure privacy we built a wall, with pergola beams over top, where lights could be hung. Within the walls I created booth seating, and a countertop with a custom fitted hole for the BBQ to fit. There is storage below the counter for BBQ supplies, as well as a log store. The table is a concept design I created with a firepit built into the middle of the table. It comes with a metal plate that you can put over the hole to have more table space for plates, drinks and food. Behind the wall I have also put in a new hedge that will grow and fill the entire length of the garden.
The clients also wanted to remodel the corner of their garden, where they currently had a water feature. They still wanted a water feature, but also some seating so it can be used as a zen area, as there currently wasn't any seating nearby. For this I chose a trellis panel shelter with a bench beneath, and there are two smaller water features either side. This creates a nice shaded seat where the sound of water over pebbles will be a nice environment to relax in.
Please Note: This is currently a concept design and is to undergo some changes.
